How can I stream video to an AppleTV or AirPlay-compatible TV?
OnSong has powerful
lyrics projection and
stage monitor capabilities that let you take control of projection systems, TV, or video monitors. There are a number of ways that you can connect your iOS/iPadOS device including using
AirPlay.
AirPlay is a wireless streaming technologies that is found in Apple products and you typically use an
AppleTV to stream audio and video to another device. You can easily connect your device for streaming video content including each of
OnSong's video modes.
To connect your device to an AppleTV, make sure both devices have WiFi enabled. Newer AppleTVs allow you to stream content without connecting to a WiFi network. Swipe down from the upper right corner of your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to view the Control Center. From here there is a button labeled "Screen Mirroring", usually found in the middle of the left column. Tap to find nearby AppleTV or other Airplay devices such as found on newer HDTV sets. Once the AppleTV appears, you can tap on it to connect. Keep in mind that you may need to enter an on-screen code, password, etc to connect to the device depending on how it has been configured.
Once connected, you should see your device's screen mirrored on the AppleTV output. Switch to OnSong. You may notice that the screen turns black. This is because OnSong is designed to enter lyrics projection mode by default. You can choose from three different video modes such as
lyrics projection,
stage monitor mode, and
screen mirroring.
