How do I accurately set events and actions within timeline?
For more control over scrolling and automating OnSong, you can use Timeline. Timeline lets you you scroll and perform actions at specific times. You can learn about autoscrolling and timeline in our Timeline Video Tutorial.
If you are recording, you may not be able to toggle audio, autoscroll, metronome, or other actions precisely when you need to. You can use the recording feature to "rough-in" the actions and then go back in and manually adjust those times or parameters. To do this, open the Timeline Menu and then tap on the Edit button in the upper right corner to enter Editing Mode. You can then tap on the timeline event you wish to change using the Timeline Event Editor.
You can also build your Timeline manually. To do this, go into the Timeline Menu and tap the Edit button in the upper right corner to enter Editing Mode. An add button "+" should then appear in the lower right. You can then tap on this to open the Action Picker to choose an action to add to the timeline.
Here you can pick actions such as the "Start Audio" or "Start Autoscroll" action. These will then appear in your list starting immediately unless you have selected an event in the timeline. In that case, the action will be added after the selected event. After the event is added to the timeline, you can edit items by tapping on them while in Editing Mode to open the Timeline Event Editor where you can change the timecode with accuracy, change the action, or edit known parameters of that action.
