OnSong recently released an update that launched
OnSong Premium, a new subscription pricing model. Our goal through this process was to ensure that users who had previously purchased add-ons like the
Drawing Tool, or
OnSong Console would retain access to those premium features. In addition, no features that OnSong users previously enjoyed in the app would be effected by this new pricing model.
We intend to keep this promise.
But as they say, "the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry". It turns out that as we began rolling out this new system a few months ago, we inadvertently permitted access to these paid features without requiring you to purchase the add-on. Pretty nice, huh? To be honest, we aren't too upset about that because we rather make friends than money. But it turns out that when we released the new subscription model, we inadvertently fixed the one bug that was a fabulous feature for many. This is why you lost access. The system checks to see if you had previously purchased the add-on, and if it's unsure, it asks the App Store. If all that fails, or if you had access to the paid feature outside of this process, you are displayed a paywall for the subscription service. We completely understand how that is both frustrating and upsetting and we want to make good on our promise.
To do this, you'll first need to
update to OnSong 2020.2. Next, find the email address you used to register OnSong. You can find this by opening the
Utilities Menu by tapping on the gear icon in the
Menubar, and then choose
Settings and
About. If you haven't registered OnSong, just type in your email address in the space provided and tap Done.
Once you have you are running OnSong 2020.2 and have the email address, go to the
make good page and enter the email address in the form and choose the feature that you would like to unlock. The tap on the
Generate Unlock Code button to generate the unlock code link. You can then open that generated web address on your iOS/iPadOS device. This will launch OnSong and unlock the feature you had, all free of charge.
Please let us know if we can help further in this matter. We want to earn back your trust and continue to invest in the app that you rely on. The last thing we want to do is damage the relationship that we have with our loyal users. We want to keep our promise to you.
