How can I reboot my device?
While rare, you may need to reboot your iPad or iPhone, especially if there is an issue with the operating system that is preventing operating system functions. This process is slightly different depending on your device's physical buttons, or lack thereof.
Devices with a Home Button
Locate the home button (the one which you use to return the home screen on your device) as well as the power button. Press and hold both buttons until the screen goes dark. Hold the power button until the Apple logo appears. You can then release and wait while your device starts up completely.
Devices without a Home Button
Locate the volume up and power buttons. Press and hold both buttons until a slider appears. Slide your finger to turn off the device. Once the device is powered off, press and hold the power button until the Apple logos appears. You can then release and wait while your device starts up completely.
