How do I find out if I'm paying for an OnSong subscription?

Unless you've signed up for a membership such as OnSong Premium, there is no ongoing fee for OnSong.  You can learn about your subscription by opening the Utilities Menu by tapping on the gear icon in the Menubar and then choose Account.  You should then be signed in and you can tap on the Manage Your Subscription button.  You can also tap on that link in this email to open the App Store on your device and check your subscription status.
