Unlike other apps, OnSong supports second-screen features allowing OnSong to completely control the video content of the attached screen. By default, OnSong provides
Lyrics Projection to connected screens that appear as a black background with song title, artist, and copyright information in the lower left. Let's review the three video modes that OnSong supports.
Lyrics Projection
The default mode of OnSong is
Lyrics Projection which is great for audience participation or congregational singing. This is used to place the currently song lyrics on a screen with background colors, images, or motion video. In this mode, you can use the
External Video Menu to change what aspects of lyrics are displayed like the background or lyrics, as well as customize the background color, overlays, media, and font settings. You can learn more about changing the look of lyrics projection in our
Lyrics Projection Video Tutorial.
Stage Monitor Mode
iOS Screen Mirroring
The third option actually disables OnSong's ability to control the second screen, resulting in the default behavior of mirroring the screen on the external video display. This is ideal for giving presentations, making video tutorials, or any application where you want others to see what you see on the screen.
